An introduction to Blackwork embroidery. Using a counted thread technique with a variety of geometric stitched patterns using one colour thread. Suitable for beginners, this design is created using blackwork stitches and goldwork metal threads on an open weave fabric.
A kit will be supplied on the day (cost £10 payable direct to the tutor) which will have everything you need to complete the project. You may wish to bring a magnifier if you have one.
You will be working with a free-standing embroidery hoop which will be provided on the day so you will need to bring an 8” OR 10” embroidery hoop with you to transfer your project into at the end of the day.
